I was referred to you by my friend (your patient) whom I was in a very severe motor accident with she was driver and I was the passanger. 8. Dr. spiel For the past six years i've been complaining of lower back pain. I wake up with severe lower back pain and I had many mri done and the only thing that the doctors tells me, is that they cannot find anything. Well i went out and bought a new bed and i still have the lower back pain, can you please help me. Desperate for some kind of answer. Ruby
9. I have a history of Bi-lateral radiculapathy of the L5-S1 and this area is also partially sacralized, would your procedure help? Mild bulging of the annulus fibrosus with mild facet hypertrophy is noted as well. I can't stand, walk or sit in a 90 degree position for any lenght of time. -Tom

11. Hi, Had a epidural injection and it worked for 2 days with relief of pain and burning into my leg, then went back and they did a "nerve block" but there was no change in pain or sensation. Question is how could that be that a Nerve Block does not work? He definitely was in the area of the nerve because it felt painful for a second or two x about 3 during the procedure. Is it possible for a nerve block to not take at all???
12. Hi Dr. Spiel, Currently, I have been diagnosed with Shoulder Tendinitis with possible bursitis. I have had this pain since as early as July 2007 and I only started to get treatment through Physical therapy in January 2008. Now the question is, do u administer cortisone shots, would you recommend it, and how long will it last for and will it help my condition?
13. Dr. Spiel, I have had (3) Transaminol epidural shots for herniated discs L4,L5 & S1. My pain has mostly been in my left leg, buttocks and foot. Now, (after the shots) I still have some pain and most of the time I feel so much pressure in my left leg, almost like a real painfull charlie horse then I feel pins and needles in my left foot and calf. I still cant walk or stand for long what would you think is the next step? Sherry
14. Hi Dr. Spiel, herniated discs at l4 l5 and l5 s1 with central annular tears. numbness left side from butt to toes. pt, meds, epidurals did not work. dr. suggested discogram. is this sensible next step and do you perform this diagnostic test. thank you
